The exhibition titled “Rice PLUS: rice in the innovation age” welcomes the general public to see the new world of rice and its related innovations, plus a special showcase of rice products, from its original forms and the advanced innovations. This exhibition will be organised at one of Southeast Asia’s lifestyle and shopping complex – CentralWorld.

Participants of Thailand Rice Convention 2017 will be fulfilled of all their needs thanks to complete line-up of amenities at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. Thailand Rice Convention 2017 will be organised on the space of 5,000 square metres of Bangkok Convention Centre.

Apart from the convention hall, at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre also features World Ballroom with the capacity of 1,000 persons in theatre-like interior, a total of seventeen Lotus Suites that can accommodate 10-400 persons, or M23 that can be converted into 4 separate rooms.

The Royal Chitralada Projects


Recognising the importance of sustainable development of agriculture in terms of farmers’ quality of life and environment conservation, as agriculture is Thailand’s biggest trade, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1061 donated money out of his own pocket to initiate many of the country’s agricultural development projects all under one umbrella titled “The Royal Chitralada Projects”.

Situated on a large plot of land in the heart of Bangkok, within the Chitralada Royal Villa compound, the Royal Chitralada Projects feature vast areas of pilot plantations and factories of various departments, including pilot rice fields, rice millers, and chaff processing plant. The Royal Chitralada Projects are visited by more than 20,000 visitors each year to learn about the late King’s lifetime dedication on agricultural development under sufficiency economy theory.


Cho Heng Rice Vermicelli Factory Co., Ltd.


Established in 1930s, Cho Heng Rice Vermicelli Factory Co., Ltd. started out with production of “Three-headed Elephant” and “Erawan” brands of rice vermicelli for both sales in Thailand and for export. Cho Heng factory is the first of its kind in Thailand to have implemented hot air drying system in its production of white rice flour and sticky rice flour.

At present, the factory is situated in Samphran district of Nakhon Pathom, with the capacity of 10,000 tonnes per month. The factory’s R&D department has continuously been innovating by implementing new technologies for the production of hydrophobic flour or low-protein rice starch. Its rising-star product includes “ReisCare” baby powder, which was named the best rice innovative product in 2015.



Pathawin Co., Ltd.


Established in 1987 as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and then expanded its business into cosmetic research laboratory and testing centre in 2007. At present, Pathawin is an OEM for a number of premium cosmetic and spa brands. It is also a central laboratory and quality assurance centre for cosmetic products certified by the Ministry of Public Health.

The factory itself is in compliance with GMP, ISO 9001:2008, and ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in development, production, and quality assurance of cosmetic products. It is also certified by USDA Organic, a widely respected standards for organic products from the United States of America.

Participants of Thailand Rice Convention 2017 will be shown the strong potential of Thailand’s rice industry on its capability to add value and develop rice into efficient non-food products at this factory located in Pathum Thani province, just one hour from Bangkok.
